For this project, our class was assigned a site in rural Athens, Georgia, where we were tasked with designing a rain garden for a client. We began by visiting the site to conduct an inventory and analysis, documenting existing conditions and capturing site photographs. This was my first project that required analyzing not only the site itself but also the broader regional context. Throughout the design process, we had to carefully consider both budget constraints and drainage requirements. Regular check-ins with our client led to several significant design revisions—some of which I did not always agree with—but ultimately strengthened my ability to adapt and respond to client feedback.
